Hulu Content Portal is content publishing tools. Hulu internal business, operation team and external partner are using this tool for managing Hulu contents.
Problems
Content Portal has built by engineers before. Therefore, there are not user friendly UI/UX and inconsistent UI design. Engineers used the open source components and each page looks different depending on stakeholder's requirements.
Stakeholders are suffering from the hevay contents with the inefficient filter/search functionality and UI/UX.
Solution
I created Content Portal design system what leverages Hulu design system and added new UI components for the consistency. Also, I conducted stakeholders interview to understand what are their workflow, pain points, needs to catch the problems and find a solution.
